I work in health news and have been watching the hims and hers debacle and it’s such a mess! Basically ozempic was in short supply and the FDA declared a shortage which allowed companies to make compounded versions of the drug (making the drug into a different form like a pill or vial) so that there would be less of a shortage. But then these companies created so much ozempic that the shortage ended and when the FDA ended the shortage, these companies sued the FDA saying that there was still a shortage. A total lie just to make more money. On top of all the issues we have with improper regulation of compounded semaglutide.

Nick and Annie — have you tried Experiment Beauty? I feel like you both would like their glycerin serum (called supersaturted) and their fab lipbalm! Honestly I have actually seen a huge difference from using them

I would looooove more coverage on the Eastern Beauty front from you guys. Like with the salmon sperm treatment Nick got, I know it’s been super popular in Korea for some time now - was Nick’s recent trip more so focused on topical products as opposed to procedures? Like why not try the procedures in Seoul vs. Contra? Or like was that trip like a comparison/research thing for Contra? Maybe I’m just super nosy lolol

Also, biodance is a pretty popular brand from Korea right now - they went “viral” with that collagen mask that turns translucent (i forget if they were OGs or one of the first - but now a lot of k-beauty brands make it).

++ apparently Olive Young is gonna open a store in LA

iHerb is actually legit lol I use it frequently for all my supplements and k-beauty stuff. They sell authentic stuff (which is a problem w amazon) bc they get their inventory directly from the brand (usually listed as a stockist by the brands) , not from resellers. So it’s a good place to get k-beauty in the is and ships domestically and fast!

This is so helpful. I think I get it mixed up with Herbalife which is an MLM that weirdly has a bunch of storefronts in east Williamsburg.
